Take charge of the Act Sustainable agenda!


All Lunch Sessions of Act Sustainable 2022 are entirely dedicated to the student organizations and student groups at Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg. This means that student-led groups, associations, committees, unions or other types of organizations can apply to be part of the official program of Act Sustainable 2022. ​

 

Practical information: 

  • Selected sessions will be hosted in the Act Sustainable 2022 official venues. This means that there is no need for hosts to book venues. However, each hosting organizations administrates all other practical aspects of their respective events. 

  • Registration forms are administered by the Act Sustainable  team. 

  • Student organizations may apply apply for up to 5.000 SEK funding for their event. Funding can be used to pay for example lunch, speakers or other material to be used during your session. 5.000 covers approximately 55 lunches.

  • Student-led sessions are hosted in English

  • Sessions can be hosted as lectures, panels, workshops or other suitable format.

  • Events are hosted in English and are open for all students and may be open to staff as well. 

  • Deadline to submit event proposals is October 2nd 2022. Accepted events will be contacted by October 7th at the latest. 

  • Events take place between 12.15 - 13.00 

Selection criteria

The Act Sustainable team will select up to 5 sessions to be part of the official program and sessions are selected on based on the following criteria:

  • Thematic connection: How well does the proposed event connect to the official theme for Act Sustainable 2022.

  • Program synergies: Potential synergies and connections to other events in the official program.

  • Interest and importance: Level of general interest and importance of proposed topic and format. 

  • Collaboration and cross-disciplinary approach: Are there other partners from other academic fields or sectors involved? Does the event approach the sustainability challenge from a cross-disciplinary perspective?

5. Host your event!

The big day is finally here! Enjoy the ride and don't forget to thank everyone involved! 

2. Define your event

What are you trying to achieve with the event? What are the goals you are aiming for? Who should attend?

4.  If selected:

Market your event

Tell everyone you know!  Make sure to use the channels you have at hand such as social medias, classmates and more!

6. Evaluate

Gather your team and discuss the success of the event!  What went well and what could be improved next time?  Don't forget to submit the form sent by the Act Sustainable team.

Act Sustainable is Chalmers University of Technology´s and the University of Gothenburg´s annual sustainability week for students, researchers, teachers and staff. The aim is to bring the universities closer together in multidisciplinary perspectives on sustainable
development through inspiration, and knowledge.
